Dear Colleagues,
We are proud to announce that the 58th Symposium of Vertebrate Palaeontology and Comparative Anatomy (SVPCA) will take place in Cambridge from 15-18 September 2010, preceded by the Symposium of Palaeontological Preparation and Conservation (SPPC) on 14 September 2010.
The deadline for abstract submission and registration is 1st July 2010.
The event will be hosted by the University of Cambridge Departments of Zoology (http://www.zoo.cam.ac.uk) and Earth Sciences (http://www.esc.cam.ac.uk).

Venue
The main venue for the SVPCA meeting will be within the Department of Zoology, located in the historic city centre on Downing St., Cambridge (http://www.zoo.cam.ac.uk/zooone/department/map.html)
Access to the collections of the Museum of Zoology and Sedgwick Museum will be available during the meeting subject to availability. Advance booking for collections access is required (see http://www.sedgwickmuseum.org/research/ )
The annual Jones-Fenleigh auction to benefit student participation at the SVPCA will take place during the meeting, as will the annual conference dinner. Several other conference events and receptions are also planned. Two fieldtrip options are currently on offer, thanks to Les Noe (Oxford Clay, Peterborough) and Richard Preece (West Runton, Norfolk). If you are interested in attending either trip please contact cambridge2010@svpca.org as soon as possible.

Accommodation is available at the following locations, both within a 5 minute walk of the main conference venue:

Registration
The fees for SVPCA-SPPA Cambridge 2010 are as follows:

Presentations
Deadline for abstract submission and conference registration is 1st July 2010
Abstract of proposed talks and posters should not exceed 200 words and may not contain any citations. Your abstract will form the basis of our decision as to whether or not your paper will be included. Your preference as to a poster or oral presentation will be taken into account as far as possible, depending on the availability of platform talks. Note that the abstract submitted will also constitute a submission for the symposium abstracts volume, which will be made available in PDF format from the SVPCA website.
